FAA Selects Team to Create UTM Contingency Management Platform at Griffiss International Airport

Ottawa, CA: Kongsberg Geospatial, an Ottawa-based aerospace and defense geospatial technology company, announced that it has been selected as part of the team responsible for developing and testing a new integrated Contingency Management Platform (CMP) at the New York Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Test Site, at Griffiss International Airport in Rome, NY.

Kongsberg Geospatial will be deploying IRIS GCS - a real-time airspace visualization system for beyond visual line-of-sight (BVLOS) mission management that allows a single operator to manage multiple aircraft. The system is built on the company’s TerraLens real-time geospatial engine, and combines real-time data from a variety of sensors to create a real-time picture of the airspace where UAS are being operated.
